This 12-day itinerary is designed to keep you in the heart of the action. By staying in luxury tented camps and lodges strategically located inside the parks or in key migratory corridors, we eliminate long commutes and ensure you are on-site for the first and last light of the day.

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome to Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met by your professional photography guide.

Private transfer to your first accommodation.

This is your day to arrive, settle in, and prepare your gear. There are no formal game drives today to allow for rest after international travel.

Day 2: Briefing & The Giants of Tarangire

Before leaving Arusha, your guide will provide a detailed itinerary briefing at the lodge. We will discuss animal behavior, light angles, and vehicle etiquette.

Drive to Tarangire National Park for an afternoon game drive.

A hot lunch at the lodge before we depart.

Day 3: Tarangire – Baobabs & River Life

A full day exploring the Tarangire River and the Silale Swamp.

  • Photography: Elephants framed by ancient Baobabs and tree-climbing lions.

Today we plan a picnic lunch somewhere in the park to stay near the river where the wildlife activity is highest.

Day 4: To the Crater Highlands

Morning game drive in Tarangire, followed by a scenic ascent into the lush Ngorongoro Highlands.

A hot lunch at a quiet spot during the transit to recharge.

Day 5: Ngorongoro the Lost World

A full day on the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater.

  • Photography: Capturing the “Big Five” against the dramatic backdrop of the 600m high caldera walls.

A picnic lunch somewhere in the park near the hippo pool to ensure we don’t miss any midday predator movement.

Accommodation: Luxury lodge on the Crater rim.

Day 6: Transition to the Migration (Ndutu)

Journey from the highlands into the short-grass plains of the Ndutu region.

  • Photography: The landscape opens up, offering “big sky” photography and the first sightings of the massive migration.

A picnic lunch en route to allow for spontaneous stops if we encounter action.

Day 7: Ndutu Predator & Prey

Full day of off-road tracking (permitted here) to find the perfect angle for your shots.

  • Photography: Cheetahs hunting and the wildebeest calving season.

We will head back to the camp for a hot lunch to avoid the flat midday light and clean camera sensors.

Day 8: Ndutu – The Chase

Tracking the migration across the alkaline lakes and hidden marshes.

  • Photography: Focus on high-speed action and behavioral shots of newborn calves.

A picnic lunch somewhere in the park so we can stay with a hunt or a specific pride of lions.

Accommodation: Luxury mobile tented camp in Ndutu.

Day 9: Into the Central Serengeti

Drive North into the iconic Seronera Valley, the heart of the Serengeti.

  • Photography: Iconic granite “Kopjes” (rock outcrops) where lions and leopards often lounge.

A picnic lunch along the way as we transition between ecosystems.

Accommodation: A luxury tented camp positioned near the river valleys for prime leopard viewing.

Day 10: Serengeti – Big Cat Territory

Exploring the river loops and open plains for the resident big cats.

  • Photography: Leopards in acacia trees and the social dynamics of large lion prides.

A hot lunch at the camp followed by a brief rest before the “blue hour” drive.

Accommodation: Luxury tented camp in the Central Serengeti.

Day 11: Serengeti – The Final Frontier

A deep dive into the more remote corners of the central plains.

  • Photography: Wide-angle “animal in landscape” shots and intimate wildlife portraits in the golden grass.

A final picnic lunch somewhere in the park to soak in the last full day of the wilderness.

Accommodation: Luxury tented camp in the Central Serengeti.

Day 12: Golden Hour & Departure

A final dawn game drive to capture the sunrise over the Serengeti.

Mid-morning transfer to the local airstrip for your flight back to Arusha.

  • Lunch: A farewell meal in Arusha before your international flight home.

INCLUSIVE AND NON-INCLUSIVE

To help you plan and budget accurately, here is the breakdown of what is typically covered in our premium safari packages and what you should expect to handle personally.

What is Included

Professional Private Guide: A highly experienced, English-speaking local guide (or photography expert) dedicated to your group for the entire duration.

Custom 4×4 Safari Vehicle: Use of a Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for 360-degree viewing, charging ports for cameras/phones, and a fridge/cooler box.

Park & Entry Fees: All national park fees, Ngorongoro Crater service fees, and conservation taxes for all locations listed in your itinerary.

Accommodations: All nights in luxury tented camps, mobile camps, or lodges as specified.

Full Board Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. This includes the mentioned hot lunches at camp and picnic lunches in the bush.

Drinking Water: Unlimited purified/bottled water provided in the vehicle during all game drives. Airport Transfers: Pick-up and drop-off at Kilimanjaro (JRO) or Arusha Airport.

Internal Bush Flights: If your itinerary includes a flight (e.g., Kogatende to Arusha), the flight ticket and airstrip transfers are included.

The “Experiences”: Cultural visits, Olduvai Gorge entry, and the specific Tranquility Experiences (as these are part of our guided service).

What is Not Included

International Flights: Your travel from your home country to Tanzania and back.

Tanzanian Visa: Most travelers require a visa (approx. $50–$100 USD depending on nationality), which can be obtained online or at the airport.

Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend comprehensive insurance that covers medical emergencies and trip cancellations.

Tips & Gratuities: Tipping is customary in Tanzania. As a general guideline:

Camp/Lodge Staff: $10–$15 USD per person (usually via a communal tip box).

Alcoholic Beverages & Sodas: While water is provided, alcohol and soft drinks at lodges are typically billed extra (unless staying at an “Ultra-Luxury All-Inclusive” camp).

Optional Balloon Safari: Usually costs approx. $550–$600 USD per person (unless explicitly added to your total package).

Personal Items: Laundry services, souvenirs, telephone calls, and any extra snacks or specialized snacks not provided by the camp.

Medical Requirements: Yellow Fever vaccinations (if required) and Malaria prophylaxis.
