About golden dawn expedition
With over a decade of guiding in Tanzania’s parks, we capture wildlife moments others miss, blending deep knowledge of animal behaviour, landscapes, and light to create immersive, story-driven photographs that go beyond snapshots.
Giving Back To The Community
Beekeeping for Community & Conservation
In Tanzania’s northern wilderness, buzzing hives are transforming lives. Golden Dawn Expedition helps local families protect their crops from elephants while earning sustainable income through honey and beeswax. Each jar of honey carries a story of coexistence supporting education, preserving forests, and safeguarding wildlife. This is travel with purpose, where visitors leave behind a positive footprint and communities thrive alongside nature.
BEST TIME TO VISIT & SEASONAL ACTIVITIES
East Africa offers distinct seasonal rhythms that shape the wildlife, landscapes, and travel experiences across Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda. Each season brings unique opportunities—from dramatic migrations to lush green escapes. Here’s a full breakdown of the seasons and the best activities to enjoy in each.
Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti is a vast ecosystem with distinct regions, each offering unique wildlife experiences depending on the season. From year-round big cat action in Central Serengeti, dramatic river crossings in the North (July–October), cheetah country in the East (January–June), to the famous calving season in the South, every region tells a different story of the Great Migration.

Tarangire National Park
Tarangire is best visited during the dry season from June to October, when wildlife concentrates along the Tarangire River, making game viewing exceptional. This period is ideal for spotting large elephant herds, predators, and diverse plains game. During the green season (November to May), the park becomes lush and scenic, with fewer visitors and excellent birdwatching, though wildlife is more spread out.

Ngorongoro National Park
Ngorongoro offers excellent wildlife viewing throughout the year due to the permanent water sources inside the crater. The dry season from June to October provides clear skies, easier game viewing, and comfortable temperatures. The green season from November to May brings dramatic landscapes, calving seasons, and fewer crowds, although occasional rains may occur.

Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara is best visited during the green season from November to June, when the park is lush and alive with birdlife, including large flocks of flamingos. Wildlife viewing remains good year-round, but the dry season (July to October) offers better visibility for mammals as vegetation thins and animals gather around water sources.
